Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-05-10
This policy describes how DRONEBULA INC. (operating as SKONEN, Ontario registered trade name BIN 1001604259) collects, uses, and protects personal information collected through the SKONEN waitlist signup at skonen.com.
What we collect
- The email address you submit through the signup form.
- The timestamp of your submission.
- Your browser's user-agent string (used to detect automated signups).
- The country code of your IP address as detected by our hosting provider (Cloudflare). We do not store your IP address itself.
We do not load any third-party trackers, advertising pixels, or social-media widgets on this site. Cloudflare may collect aggregate, anonymized traffic statistics for the site's operation.
Why we collect it
By submitting the signup form and checking the consent box, you give express, informed consent to receive emails from SKONEN for the following purposes:
- Beta program notification — to let you know when SKONEN opens for closed-beta access.
- Beta access communication — instructions, invitations, and operational messages tied to your participation in the beta program.
- Product launch announcement — notice of the public launch.
- Product updates and feature releases — occasional emails about meaningful new functionality.
- Trip planning content — occasional canoe trip planning content, route guides, and seasonal updates.
- User research and feedback — invitations to participate in surveys or user research sessions.
- Customer support replies — if you write to us at hello@skonen.com, we use your email to respond.
When you will hear from us
We will not contact you until we have something genuinely useful to share — typically when SKONEN opens for beta. We do not send a welcome email at signup. Submitting the form puts you on a dormant subscriber list; the first email may not arrive for months.
How long we keep it
We retain your subscription record until ninety (90) days after the public product launch, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record of the unsubscribe (your email and the unsubscribe timestamp) to honor your opt-out across future communications, in accordance with the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Your rights
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your record.
- Withdrawal of consent: withdraw your consent for any of the listed uses at any time.
- One-click unsubscribe: every email we send will include a one-click unsubscribe link.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@skonen.com. We will respond within thirty (30) days.
